The club purchased 40 folding chairs to replace bent and broken ones.

The year-end Treasury report was given by Andy Cole. As of November 12, the club treasury has a healthy balance of $11,710.47. Income for the year included $2,420 from dues; $497.31 from the John Jordan demonstration; $211.04 from the Don Derry demonstration; and $665.25 gain from the Honolulu Symposium.

Hawaii Literacy is the chosen charity for this year's Nohea Wood Show. Nohea continues to sell the donated items. To date six pieces from the August show have sold for a total of $721.50. In addition, it was decided to donate 50 percent of the North Woods maple block collaborative to Hawaii Literacy. The maple pieces were auctioned off at the symposium for a total of $940. A check in the amount of $470 is being sent to Hawaii Literacy.

Rob Hale, Honolulu Symposium chair, reported the Fifth Annual Honolulu Symposium turned out to be a fantastic success. Rob thanked the Symposium Committee for their efforts. The attendance numbers were slightly down. To address that problem several things are being contemplated. There have been discussions of moving the symposium to early in the year to avoid conflict with University of Hawaii football and the Woodcraft Tent Sale. If so, we would likely skip 2014 and look at maybe March of 2015. Sandy also handed out a questionnaire asking several questions, seeking members suggestions and thoughts. The survey is completely anonymous.
